Одним из видных представителей послереволюционной эмиграции был Эренджен Хара-Даван (1885—1941). В современной научной литературе его творчество часто ассоциируется с евразийским движением, и он считается одним из его идеологов. Евразийцев и Э. Хара-Давана связывал интерес к истории Монгольской империи и ее влияния на становление русской государственности, но этим его творчество не исчерпывалось. Большинство своих работ он посвятил рассмотрению национального вопроса и устройству калмыцкого народа. Будущее Э. Хара-Даван видел в обособлении наций, населявших Российскую империю, и в дальнейшем развитии их сотрудничества, вплоть до образования Лиги народов Востока. Он испытал определенное влияние евразийской концепции в своих работах, но в изучении национального вопроса был самостоятельным мыслителем с собственным видением исторического процесса и будущего устройства калмыцкого народа.

One of the prominent representatives of the post-revolutionary emigration was Erenzhen Khara-Davan (1885—1941). In modern science, his works are often associated with the Eurasian movement, and he is considered to be one of its ideologues. Both E. Khara-Davan and the Eurasians were interested in the history of the Mongol Empire and its influence on the formation of Russian statehood, but his work did not end there. E. Khara-Davan devoted most of his works to the national question and forecasting the future development of the Kalmyk people. E. Khara-Davan saw the future in the separation of the nations inhabiting the Russian Empire and the further development of their cooperation, right up to the formation of the League of the Peoples of the East. He experienced a certain influence of the Eurasian concept in his works, but in the study of the national question, he was an independent thinker with his own vision of the historical process and the future structure of the Kalmyk people.
