В статье приводятся ключевые моменты деятельности Оренбургского Неплюевского военного училища во второй половине 1830-х годов, когда учебное заведение вышло на стабильные плановые показатели своей работы, определенные Постановлением Сената от 9 февраля 1824 г. К середине 1830-х гг. училище действовало уже 10 лет, в результате сформировался полноценный кадровый состав, сложился комплект воспитанников, появились первые выпускники. В этой связи период второй половины 1830-х гг. стал таким этапом становления учреждения, на анализе которого уже можно подводить первые итоги его развития, что и осуществлено автором статьи. Делаются выводы, в той или иной мере претендующие на научную новизну. К концу 1830-х гг. сменился основной штатный состав училища. Его кадровый персонал укрепился, несмотря на объективные трудности, связанные с ограниченным размером жалованья учителей учебного заведения. На период 1834—1839 гг. приходится три десятка выпускников, ряд которых уже к концу 1830-х гг. проявили себя на военном, дипломатическом, исследовательском поприще, в частности во время Хивинского похода 1839—1840 гг. Поскольку учебное заведение было разделено на европейское и азиатское отделения, в работе выделены особенности обучения на каждом из них. Охарактеризована специфика деятельности созданного в начале 1830-х гг. девичьего отделения училища.

The paper describes the key activities of the Orenburg Neplyuev military school in the second half of the 1830s, when the educational institution reached stable planned indicators of its work, determined by the Senate Decree of February 9, 1824. By the mid 1830s the school had been active for 10 years, as a result a full-fledged staff and a set of pupils had been formed and the first students had graduated. In this regard, the period of the second half of the 1830s became such a stage in the formation of the institution at which it is already possible to sum up the first results of its development, which was carried out by the author of the paper. The author draws conclusions which claim to bear scientific novelty. By the end of the 1830s the main staff of the school had changed. The staff became full-time despite the objective difficulties associated with the limited salary of the teachers. Over 1834—1839 there were three dozen graduates, a number of whom by the end of the 1830s showed themselves in the military, diplomatic, research field, in particular during the Khiva campaign of 1839—1840. Since the educational institution was divided into European and Asian branches, the article distinguishes the peculiarities of training at each of them. It also characterizes the specific activities of the girls’ department set up in the early 1830s.
